The end of another Transfer has come! What a crazy week it has been!
Monday Sister Baudino took Sister Pence and I shopping! We each got a
couple skirts and a new pair of shoes! She has been a member for just
about 18months and she loves the missionaries! We also played lazer
tag with out district at a place called Flippin Out! It was way fun!
PDay activities are the best! Later on we met with Brother Garcia, he
is a recent convert. We have been teaching him the new member lessons.
He is hilarious! We taught him the Plan of Salvation and ended up
talking a lot about missionary work! It was great! He is trying t
reach out and share the gospel with his neighbor! It amazes me how
many people really are looking and are prepared to receive the
fullness of the gospel! We also met with Jandy and Anthony, they area
recent converts as well. They were baptized only a couple weeks ago.
The gospel has really changed every aspect of their lives! We were
able to also go to a Family Home Evening with the Fontano Family! I
just love them! It is always are great experience to see how different
families interact and work with one another! I have learned so much
about The Family here on my mission.
Tuesday we met with Terry and read in the Book of Mormon with her! She
loves the Book of Mormon! She told us she had been praying to learn
about other children of God and their experiences with Him. She has
read and heard the Bible stories so many times! She wanted more and
now that she has found it she couldn't be more excited!! We decided to
stop by mutual tonight and see Janise! They were doing a sewing
project and were short leaders so we stayed and helped Janise and her
sister Olivia sew cases for their journals and personal progress
books! I am so grateful that my mom taught me how to sew a straight
line and work a sewing machine! It was great to be able to help these
girls sew!
Wednesday Sister Pence woke up in the middle of the night with severe
ear pain. We took her to the Urgent Care and after waiting 4 hours to
be seen she was able to get a prescription for her ear infection.
Brother Harms gave her a blessing and then he and his wife took us out
to IHOp for lunch. It made me miss going to IHOP with my grandparents
in Atascocita! It was a great treat after such a crazy doctors visit.
Thursday we saw Robert and read in the Book of Mormon with him! He is
reading more and more everyday and applying it to his life. It is
awesome! We then met with Sister Mundy! She is so excited about the
things she is reading a learning. We read with her a discussed a few
verses in Alma 1. She is really changing and growing in the gospel! We
drove down to the mission office after lunch to try and fix our cell
phone. The mic isn't working and it is so hard to hear people. The
couldn't do anything for us, but they did order a new phone! What a
blessing!
Friday we had an emergency exchange with a couple sisters in our zone!
We met with Terry again and taught her the Plan of Salvation! She
loved it! Everyone always does! It is a perfect plan! It is our Father
in Heaven's plan! We also shared it with Gloria and her
granddaughters. Our last stop was with at the Endsley's! We are doing
the new member lessons with them as well! They are such a fun family!
Saturday we found out about Transfers! Sister Pence is leaving and I
am staying here! Sister Swerdfiguer is going to be my new companion.
She's been out about a year and I have talked to her a few times, but
don't know her super well! I had a feeling she was going to be my
companion! I know this will be a great transfer! I can't believe it is
my last one! We went to the adult session of stake conference. It was
awesome! I sat right next to Jason and Amanda, my brother-inlaw and
sister! They are so great! The Conference was all about having joy!

I know that Our Heavenly Father wants us to have joy here!! We can
choose to be happy and find joy in the journey!
Sunday was the general session of stake conference. It was really
great as well! All about joy and the Book of Mormon! It really is
Another Testament of Jesus Christ! It will change your life one verse
at a time! The invited us all to read two chapters a day!! It is a joy
to read and learn about our Savior! We have gone around to say goodbye
to some of Sister Pence's favorite members! She is going to be really
missed here! I am going to miss serving with her!
I've got a lot more work to do here! I am so excited to see what
miracles are in store this next week! I hope you all will have many
opportunities to study and learn from the teachings of the Savior!
